Multi-Fractal Aspects Of The Fine-Scale Structure Of Temperature-Fluctuations In Isotropic Turbulence

The multi-fractal aspects of the fine-scale structure of temperature fluctuations in isotropic turbulence are discussed. The characteristic exponent <(zeta)over cap>(p) for the temperature structure function and the generalized fractal dimension (D) over cap(q) of the scalar-variance dissipation field are calculated and are shown to compare satisfactorily with experimental measurements.
