Department Chair: Peter Larson

The Department of History offers B.A. and B.A./M.A. Accelerated Undergraduate-Graduate programs, as well as five minors. A history degree provides students with critical "employability skills" needed to excel in today’s market, including research and writing skills, analytical skills, communication skills, and being goal-focused. The History department is home to Africana Studies, American Studies, Florida Studies, Judaic Studies and Middle Eastern Studies.
