Description/Abstract

The purpose of this presentation will describe and discuss a discipline specific (Human Factors and Applied Psychology) student research conference. This presentation will discuss the notion of student research conferences, barriers to holding an event of this nature, and strategies to overcome these barriers. Additionally, the presentation will discuss how this type of event can both stimulate undergraduate research as well as to help college and university departments assess the state of their undergraduate research programs.
