Description

A photo of Rev Leopold A. Jarosi, who served as pastor of Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church in Cleveland during the period (1909-12) some of his immigrant parishioners decided to create a settlement in Florida. Pastor Jarosi was a mentor and advisor to the Slavia settlers and often traveled to FL to assist them until the little congregation was able to call a pastor of its own in 1934. Pastor Jarosi was able to celebrate St. Luke's 50th anniversary with his old friends in 1962 and was honored at the Golden Anniversary services and program.; Scan from "100 years if God's Grace," a commemorative booklet produced by Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Parma, Ohio, in 1992.
