The women are standing next to the long chicken coop made out of wood. The girls are wearing pants and shorts. Two of the girls are carrying buckets full of feed in their hands. In the background of the image to the left is the back of Cookman Hall. On the back of the photograph is written, "Poultry raising class; chicken farm on campus 1940s, south side of campus." The photographer of the image is unknown.
