Postcard of Elizabeth Hall, Stetson University. A handwritten note reads "Elizabeth Hall before the trees in the Forest Arden were planted. The little octagonal building housed thepump which pumped water to [the] tank in [the] tower of Elizabeth Hall until city water was brought to DeLand." Another handwritten note, apparently by the original purchaser, reads "this is the principal one of the buildings. We have our class rooms, museums of geology, nat. history, zoology, etc, in here. Also we have the chapel endowed by Mr. Stetson with an immense and beautiful organ..."
