Description

The owner of this photo (and several others taken on the same day) clearly dated the back of each snapshot: May 17, 1942, but the purpose for the occasion is not fully known. In this image at least 2 members of the armed forces are visible. This MAY have been the day on which the congregation dedicated the new American flag which had been purchased for the brick sanctuary. Sepia snapshot, scanned on Epson 10000XL at SLLC, 2011.
