Description

Four young boys from St. Luke's congregation study their catechism lessons in the 'Saturday School' held in the former wooden church. c.1942. In photo of boys all seated (left to right): Edward Duda, Ivan (Bo) Jakubcin, Walter Duda and Ferdinand (Zeke) Jakubcin. In photo with 3 boys seated: Zeke Jakubcin, Walter Duda, Edward Duda and (standing), Bo Jakubcin. The boys went to public school in Oviedo during the week, but Pastor Tuhy instructed them on Saturdays. Soon St. Luke's would offer a "day school" for all the younger children of the congregation.
