Description

Rev. William von Spreckelsen, after retiring from a varied career in pastoral ministries and as an Executive for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, was engaged as the "Assistant to the Pastor" (Rev. John Kucharik) at St. Luke's in 1973. He served the congregation until his full retirement in 1981, a period during which he became one member of a full Team Ministry at St. Luke's. Pastor and Mrs.(Ruth)von Spreckelsen became residents of the Lutheran Haven and lived there until Ruth's death in 1987 and Pastor 'Spreck's' in 1990. The couple is buried in St. Luke's Cemetery in Slavia, FL.
