Description

Scenes from the visit of Virginia and Paul Mikler to the town of Iliasovce in Slovakia, c. 1990. This town is the birthplace of brothers, Joseph and Michael Mikler and their wives. Some of the American descendants of the Mikler brothers... both founders of the Slavia community and of St. Luke's Lutheran Church... have stayed in contact with the Juhazy branch of the Mikler clan in Iliasovce over the years and have kept the family connections alive for more than a century. 4x6" Colored photos scanned on Epson 1000XL at SLLC.
