Description

Midway through the Jubilee celebration of the Lutheran Haven's 50th anniversary in 1998, Congressman John Mica was invited to serve as key-note speaker for a barbecue held under an enormous tent on the Lutheran Haven campus. Audrey Duda Stinson captured video roll throughout the year and produced a commemorative video, which was shared with SELC District churches in many other states. The official celebrations had begun with an "Alpha" thanksgiving service at St. Luke's in February of 1998. An "Omega" worship service was held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, an SELC sister congregation, in Lake Mary, FL on October 24, 1998.
