It has a front porch, and a widow's peaked attached to the roof of the porch. A window air-conditioning unit can seen attached to a second-story window at the right of the building. A brick chimney can also be seen at the right of the building. A small one-story brick building can be seen at the left of the house; its purpose is unknown. The house is surrounded by tall oak trees. A sign is posted next to the front-entry sidewalk which reads ""Mary McLeod Bethune Foundation."" A television antenna is erected next to the house. Written on the back of the image is ""Mrs. Bethune's house early-mid 1960s."" The photographer of the image is unknown.
