Presents data on how high-stakes testing and NCLB affected three elementary schools in the same school district during 2004-2005; teachers' stories are told about the test-taking cultures that developed, how they affected teachers' roles and responsibilities, how the curriculum was affected by the test-taking culture, how professional development changed, and how actual teaching was driven by this culture; key findings and policy recommendations are included with this report.
