About the Author

Hello, my name is Lauralee Fuher. I am a sophomore at the University of Central Florida studying Kinesiology. I intend on going to Physician Assistant school and becoming a Sports Medicine PA. I am a second year in the LEAD Scholars program currently working in the Spiritual Leadership course.

I would first like to thank God for the opportunity to find this community and be able to grow and lead within it. I would not be here today without His everlasting love. I would also like to thank my LEAD Scholars professor Brad Crawford in teaching me this life long skills and LEAD Scholars as a whole for giving me the opportunity to be in this program to grow in my leadership. Lastly, I would like to thank the Salt Company staff, Mike, Lauren, Caleb, and Ainslee for guiding me spiritually in my walk with Christ and personally in my life going into adulthood.

Abstract, Summary, or Creative Statement

This past semester, I have focused on volunteering and serving in my local campus ministry Salt Company. As a leader within the organization, I spend my time leading a weekly Bible study with a small group of girls, serving on the serving team during our large gatherings on Wednesday, and meeting one-on-one with the girls in my small group to get to know them on a personal level. LDR 3215 has greatly improved my leadership abilities and knowledge, I share the things I have learned in the course with the other leaders on my team and I show the things I have learned through my behavior. Salt Company has made an impact on the community through its relentless pursuit in sharing the Gospel to those who are interested. As well as creating a community not only locally but nationally as well. I greatly enjoy being a leader in Salt Company and I cannot wait to see its growth in the coming years.
