JICRCR policy on ethics and publishing
All submissions to The Journal of International Crisis and Risk Communication Research (JICRCR) may use plagiarism detection software to screen or review submissions. Although JICRCR is not part of the International Committee on Medical Journal Editors, JICRCR uses the ICMJE recommendations for the conduct, reporting, editing, and publication of scholarly work to submitted and published in the Journal of International Crisis and Risk Communication Research. JICRCR encourages authors to consult the ICMJE recommendations.
Please see the instructions for authors for all other information concerning submission.
Additionally, please be aware of the following:
Manuscripts submitted to JICRCR should not be under review at other journal(s) neither should an already published manuscript be submitted to JICRCR.
Author(s) state that by submitting the manuscript to JICRCR, the content submitted is original and all appropriate citations, clearances, IRB approval, and permissions are provided. Plagiarism in all its forms is unethical and is cause for removal of a manuscript from review or retraction of a published manuscript.
All papers will be subject to a fair, anonymous and unbiased peer review process by experts in the field who may or may not be part of the Editorial Board.
Author(s) should indicate all sources that have supported the research and also declare any conflict(s) of interest.
The author(s) should provide acknowledgement to all who have made contributions to the research, even if not listed as an author. JICRCR allows this to be presented in an acknowledgement section of the manuscript or on the manuscript landing page. Submissions should include as author(s) all who have made a significant contribution to the work reported which includes but is not limited to physical resources, conceptualization of research or design, or acquisition or curation of data, or the analysis and interpretation of data. JICRCR expects all submissions to ensure that all authors who contributed to the submission are acknowledged and that the author list and order accurately reflects the contributions of all authors. JICRCR supports the ICMJE definitions of authorship.
Editors reserve the right to reject submission if they do not meet the scope of JICRCR and all manuscripts which do not following the formatting and submission requirements will be returned to the author(s).
Author(s) should promptly inform the journal editor of any uncovered error(s) in a published manuscript and cooperate with the editorial team in retraction or correction of the manuscript.
