Abstract
Error analyses for simultaneous measurement of temperature and strain, based on polarization-maintaining few-mode fibers (PM-FMFs), is proposed. Obtained results demonstrate that the measurement errors can be reduced by fiber design. The influence of one fiber parameter, the diameter of the stress-applying rods, is shown.
