The Red Sea Resort Development Consortium proposed the development of a major international resort on the Red Sea coast of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Red Sea Resort Development Consortium retained the Harrison Price Company to undertake a basic feasibility and planning study with the objective of refining the project’s envisioned size and content within the context of available market support and potential economic performance, with particular attention to optimum development phasing. The report presents the findings of the research and has the following sections: section 1, introduction; section 2, summary and conclusions; section 3, site evaluation and concept description; section 4, overview of foreign tourism to Egypt; section 5, market support analysis; section 6, physical planning recommendations and estimated development budget; section 7, preliminary financial analysis. The report includes 94 tables.
