Conceptual Approach to Near Term Development Opportunities at Universal City
Real Estate: Festival Markets and Shopping Centers; Feasibility studies; Recreation; Recreation areas -- California -- Los Angeles; Tourism -- California -- Los Angeles
Prepared for MCA Development Company. Harrison Price Company (HPC) was requested by MCA to respond to the overall plan of Universal City from the point view of leisure time facilities, and to provide specific input for the Main Street plan. HPC compiled relevant data from the client, its own files and other sources for use in a charrette. The charrette's purpose is to evaluate the entertainment and leisure components included in the current plan, and to identify other "product types" which appear to have merit in the Universal City scheme. The results were reviewed by the client and an inter-disciplinary charrette were conducted at the Client's offices. The summary memorandum is a distillation of the work performed. Includes tables. Report no. 484.
