Description

Great Lakes Properties (GLP) was considering the possibility of investing in Flame Enterprises, a privately held group of restaurants, five of which are in Florida and one in Illinois, and a meat and fish market in Florida. As part of its evaluation of the investment potential, GLP retained the Harrison Price Company (HPC) to conduct a preliminary review of the prospective investment to determine: 1) the net worth of Peter G. and Gloria A. Makris, the owners; 2) whether or not the real property on which Flame Enterprises operates restaurants could be more intensively developed to the benefit of Flame Enterprises and GLP, for example developing retail and office operations; 3) the profitability and operating characteristics of Flame Enterprises; 4) the potential for syndication of the operation as a limited partnership.
