This is an Executive Summary Report on the findings and the recommendations of the Queen Emma Foundation planning workshop held on November 2-4, 1989. The Waikiki Master Plan Workshop sponsored by the Queen Emma Foundation took on the task of defining a planning and improvement process for the long-term future of Waikiki. The report includes information about the current status, as well as opportunities and constraints of Waikiki. The report covers: tourist, resort, and residential areas, the beach, open spaces, pedestrian areas, long range transportation improvements, the role of a convention center, the Queen Emma Center District, the role of the Queen Emma Foundation and recommendations for implementation.
