The diary also chronicles his stays in various other areas such as Titusville, Merritt Island, Eau Gallie, Melbourne, and ending in Daytona. The writer gives accounts of several "tourist" activities he participates in while on his journey, these include fishing, beach combing, boat rides, oyster gathering and as well as an "ice cream social." There are also many layman's terms description of the local flora and fauna found near the places the young man visits and the diary has a number of small drawings as well as some pressed leaf samples.
