Description

The first and last sections of the 6 page worship folder prepared by Pastor Stephen M. Tuhy for St. Luke's Golden Anniversary on May 27, 1962, provide the list of participants in the service: Pastor John Bajus (former Vicar for the congregation in 1924) of Chicago; Rev. S.M. Tuhy; Judy Duda (organist for 8:30 am English service); Olga Jakubcin (organist for 10:30 am Slovak service); Naomi Tuhy (Choir Director); John L. Duda (radio operator); Joe L. Mikler (captain of ushers). The 8:30 organ prelude was "Suite Gothique" (Boellman); the postlude was Bach's "Tocatta & Fugue in d minor." The Sr. Choir performed "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring:" The Children's Choir sang a new hymn, composed by Pastor Tuhy.
