The University-wide commencement ceremony programs for Florida Technological University (1970-1978) and the University of Central Florida (1978-2016) include alphabetical lists of candidates for degrees, organized by college, receiving associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees. Programs may also include university history, academic costume, ceremony agendas, and biographical statements for distinguished speakers and honorees.  Before 1980, UCF held four commencement ceremonies each year to align with its quarterly academic calendar. After shifting to a semester system in 1980, the university began hosting three ceremonies annually.

The UCF Special Collections & University Archives department preserves physical commencement programs dating from the first ceremony on June 14, 1970, to the present day. Visit UCF Commencement’s Past Ceremonies web page to access digital programs and video recordings for ceremonies held after 2016.
