Abstract

The authors report phase-matched second harmonic generation using the modal dispersion of a polymeric channel waveguide. An internal figure of merit of 1%/W cm(2) was obtained for TM(00)(omega) to TM(20)(2 omega) conversion. Phase matching was maintained for 2 mm using multilayer spincoating technology.
