Oral history interview of Pam Gaines. Interview conducted by Gabriel in Orlando FL via Zoom on March 24, 2021. Interview topics include: joining the army after High School, family members who joined the service (her brother Randy), racism in the army, sexism in the army, public fallout over the Vietnam War, her fear of having a life of office work since she was female, her positive experience through Basic training, her worth ethic in the army, her experiences working in the Psychiatric and GI clinic, her marriage to a navy man, her pregnancy, and honorable discharge from the army, and later life.
