Abstract
The president’s note announces the 12th Annual ACA Seminar in Chicago and describes its theme, structure, materials, and registration benefits. The seminar is presented as a one day professional development event focused on the roles and powers of communication administrators, combining formal presentations, case study analysis, and group discussion. Planned sessions include perspectives from chairs, deans, presidents, and American Council on Education Fellows, along with discussion of major issues facing communication administrators. Registered participants are to receive a leadership text and advance case study materials. The note emphasizes pragmatic administrative learning, peer exchange, and improved conditions for seminar participation.
