    Abstract

This bulletin section provides an overview of the Association for Communication Administration’s activities at the 1985 annual convention. It lists officers, committee members, and editorial board personnel, followed by a detailed schedule of the thirteenth annual seminar on evaluation of programs. The preview outlines sessions devoted to accountability in communication curricula, evaluation practices in different institutional contexts, faculty development, computer assisted evaluation, artistic performance evaluation, and post tenure review. It also summarizes ACA sponsored and co sponsored convention programs addressing professional growth of tenured faculty, applications of corporate management strategies to higher education, assessments of the health of communication subfields, consolidation of communication programs, ramifications of the Oxford Accord, and administrative responsibilities of department chairs. The document emphasizes the administrative concerns of the mid 1980s, including accountability, program evaluation, organizational restructuring, tenure expectations, and the integration of corporate management models into academic practice.
