Abstract
ACA News in this issue provides minutes from the Executive Committee meeting of April 1987 and updates from the November 1986 business meeting. Key actions included approval of seminar programming on departmental leadership, adoption of guidelines for promotion and tenure, and sponsorship of a fourth national rating of doctoral programs in communication. The committee discussed expanding corporate memberships, affiliation with the newly formed Association for Theatre in Higher Education, and strategies to promote communication as a core subject in schools.
