Abstract
This issue reports on the April 1988 Executive Committee meeting in Las Vegas, where members approved initiatives including a proposal to change the organization’s name to the International Association for Communication Administrators, development of cooperative projects with allied associations, and plans for new editions of the Directory of Communication Media in Higher Education. Additional actions included acceptance of a budget for 1988–89, approval of policies on tenure and promotion guidelines, and preparation of new publications such as the Handbook for Theatre Department Chairs. The report also outlines convention programming for the upcoming New Orleans meeting, highlights joint sessions with the Southwest Theatre Conference, and describes the first historic joint meeting of ACA, ASJMC, and BEA executive committees. Updates on membership recruitment, mailing list services, and calls for case studies for the annual seminar are also provided.
