Abstract
This report highlights ACA activities and organizational developments during the summer of 1988. It notes the positive reception of new ACA-sponsored publications, outlines plans for the annual convention in New Orleans, and emphasizes the importance of member participation in business meetings to shape services and future directions. The report also describes growing collaboration with other professional associations to coordinate efforts in communication education, as well as productive new working agreements with the Speech Communication Association. The update concludes by encouraging continued member involvement and support to strengthen the Association’s leadership role in the discipline.
