Abstract
This article describes a computer mediated salary model that supports equitable faculty evaluation in communication and fine arts units. Grounded in accountability discourse and human resource management scholarship, it details how the menu based software records teaching scholarship service and visibility activities, assigns configurable point values, encrypts data, and generates rankings that guide merit allocations and salary adjustments. Technical specifications outline minimal hardware requirements, password protections, and modular data files, illustrating adaptability across diverse IBM compatible systems. Discussion elucidates how standardized scoring mitigates subjective bias, fosters transparency, and supplies audit trails for administrators facing budget constraints and external scrutiny. By integrating institutional research with decision support technology, this article offers chairs and deans a practical instrument for performance appraisal, salary equity planning, and motivational feedback in resource constrained higher education contexts.
