Abstract
This article offers a theatre administration guide to securing institutional funding, presenting a Five P framework: Planning, Proposal, Presentation, Persistence, and Personal Credibility. It stresses rigorous needs assessment, data driven budgeting, and alignment with institutional priorities during planning. The proposal phase advocates clear objectives, outcome focused rhetoric, and precise cost documentation. Effective presentation requires tailored persuasive communication and visual support to address decision makers’ priorities. The model then underscores strategic follow up, adaptive negotiation, and sustained relationship management as persistence tactics. Finally, it locates personal credibility in past performance, collaborative ethos, and professional demeanor, asserting that these qualities determine resource allocation success. By integrating procurement strategy, budgeting literacy, and leadership communication within higher education governance, this article delivers a practical roadmap for faculty and theatre managers navigating competitive funding environments.
