Description

It's a simple story about the one sock that always gets lost in the wash. I made the book from things around my home. I wanted to portray that anyone can make art from anything; all you need is some creativity and a great attitude. My roommate would give me the strangest looks whenever I told her not to throw something away like an old cereal box or the pile of paper bags in our apartment. My room was a mess for a good two weeks. The finished product isn't the most beautiful and symmetrical book someone could find a book shelf. It has a rough almost fall apart look to it. I wanted it to look like it was homemade by a college student who had no idea how to make and illustrate or even bind a book together. Well, mission completed. This book is what I know and it taught me that to make something from nothing is more enjoyable and rewarding than simply taking the trash out.
