Starbook with inkjet prints
Description
A universe of fantasies exists inside of my head. Fed by fiction, mythology, and imagination, my ongoing mission is to bring this fantasy world into the real one through my words and my illustrations. The starbook format lends itself cleverly to this agenda because of its ability to unite text and images into a 3-dimensional collapsible diorama that encourages the viewer to immerse him or herself physically into the scenes I create. This particular starbook, Mythical Beasts and Where to Find Them, takes the starbook one step further by making the top layer extend outward, physically invading the viewer's space and demanding the viewer's captivation into the created environment - and the beast living within it.
