Description
The Soft Family is a story of sacrifice. Overcoming deficiencies of self, whether inflicted or congenital is no easy task. To soften these harsh realities, I created a children's story for adults. The characters of the story (Oswald, Ophelia, and Olive) were stuffed animals I created in my studio while exploring empathetic personification. The story that sprung up around them played upon the hyperbolic nature of a child's perception.
