Description

Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books, and one of the books I read in my youth that inspired me to read more. When given the opportunity I was pleased to be able to very literally incorporate the book into my own book. After purchasing a paperback copy of Jan Eyre I removed the parts of the story that were the most meaningful to me and bound them into a new book.

The outward aesthetic of the book is designed to mirror the title character. Dark and bland colors mask the outer appearance of the book, with surprising bright red end pages that refer to the colorful personality that Jane hides with her plain appearance. Spread throughout the book are various hand print images and quotes from the story. Together the outside and inside of the book work together to intrigue the reader further into the story of Jane Eyre, as well as the overall design of the book itself.
