Medium

Woven paper, vine charcoal, chalk, acrylic, and ink on Bristol

Description

As a student in both mechanical engineering and studio art, I've always had a fascination between the interaction of both subjects. In the past, science and art were both highly regarded, and were equally practiced by many to encourage a well-rounded education. Today, however, the two subjects have been so vastly differentiated that many who specialize in one disregard the other. The relationship between the two fields has almost reached a point of disdain. I find that there's a certain beauty in the contrast between the two subjects, and aimed to represent this in my work.
