The Bryant Slides Collection, Bahamas

A man in a bathing suit stands next to a row boat laying of the shore of a beach in the Exumas, Bahamas, while another man wades in the water. In the distance is an anchored boat. These men accompanied William Junior Bryant during a fishing trip to the Bahamas in 1948. Images from the trip were featured in Bryant’s book “Flames of Life: A Pictorial Philosophy,” first published in 1961. Slide labeled Northern Exumas.
