The Abacos are a group of islands and cays in the Bahamas that form a 120-mile-long chain stretching over 650 square miles. Great Abaco is the second largest island in the Bahamas with one third of the country’s population. Many of smaller islands and cays in the area were settled by British Loyalist after the American Revolutionary War. This image features boats anchored in the harbor of Man of War Cay. On the beach is the Dock and Dine Apartments and Restaurant. Slide labeled Harbor Man of War April '65.
