    Andros, the largest island in the Bahamas, is made up of several islets and cays. Andros is also separated into three tidal areas: North, Middle and South Bights. In this image, Berkeley F. Jones walks through young mangroves growing in a tidal flat in South Bight, Andros, Bahamas. Jones attended Dartmouth with William Junior Bryant and was featured in the photograph entitled Barracuda’s Retribution in Bryant’s book “Flames of Life: A Pictorial Philosophy,” first published in 1961.
