Andros, the largest island in the Bahamas, is made up of several islets and cays. Andros is also separated into three tidal areas: North, Middle and South Bights. Two men sit in a row boat on the tidal flats near an anchored boat in South Bight, Andros, Bahamas. A few young mangroves are growing in the tidal flats. Various images from this fishing trip were featured in William Junior Bryant’s book “Flames of Life: A Pictorial Philosophy,” first published in 1961. Slide labeled South Bight Andros.
