    Photo Description

    Cat Cay refers to two islands in the Bahamas, North Cat Cay and South Cat Cay which is uninhabited. North Cat Cay was purchased in 1931 by Louis Wasey as a private island and is presently (2013) owned by members of the Cat Cay Yacht Club. This image shows a picture of the beach with two small structures: a white cylindrical building with a pyramid shaped roof and the view of the roof of another structure in the distance. Tall grasses and palm trees are growing on the shoreline. This image was featured in William Junior Bryant’s book “Flames of Life: A Pictorial Philosophy,” first published in 1961.
