Photo Description

Fishing rods with fishing lines rest in the wake of a boat off the coast of Bimini, Bahamas. Bimini, the closest Bahamian island to the United States, is made up of two main islands, North Bimini and South Bimini, and several cays. Flowing north of Bimini is the Gulf Stream, a northward-flowing ocean current in the western North Atlantic Ocean. Bimini has been nicknamed “Sport Fishing Capital of the World.” The Bimini coat of arms features a marlin with a fishing line in its mouth. Slide labeled Marlin Fishing Bimini Mar '46.
