The Garden of Remembrance, pictured in the foreground, houses a stone cenotaph, a monument which serves as a memorial to Bahamians who lost their lives in World Wars I and II. In the background is the building currently known as the Ansbacher House, which is the home of Ansbacher (Bahamas) Limited. Previously the building housed the Bahamas International Trust Company Limited, known as “BITCO”, which was established in 1957. In 1989, BITCO was sold to the Ansbacher Group of Companies and which later changed its name to Ansbacher (Bahamas) Limited in 1994. Slide labeled Public Sq Nassau, April 12 '65.
