Photo Description
Barclays Bank sign on a narrow street in Hope Town. In 1836, a Royal Charter established The Colonial Bank in the Caribbean. In the 1950s, the bank became known as Barclays Bank. In 2001, Barclays merged with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce to form FirstCaribbean International Bank. The bank remains the only bank on Elbow Cay. Slide labeled the "street" Hope Town.
