Description

Printed color Black Americana postcards. Caricature. Front of the first card: Black male staring at a Turkey with one eye. Entitled " I got my eye on you". Stamped "ATLANTA, GA. OCT 25 2 30 OM 1906" in the back. Front of the second card: a black man in a suit. Entitled "Just the goods". Stamped "ATLANTA, GA. MAR 10 1907". Stereotypes of African Americans were represented through racial jokes and slurs at that time. Both are addressed to "Mr. Richard Sparkman".
