    Description

    Color, trade card, with caricature image of black males sitting behind bale of cotton, white male weighing cotton. Back of card says "Howe Scales made by the Howe Scale Co." and "Unequalled for Workmanship, Finish, Durability and Sensitiveness. Used exclusively where accuracy and durability are required." Caricatures and racist propaganda were used to sell product at that time. The corners are torn.
