Description
1897 postcard featuring black couples' wedding, with caption "Honey, does yo' lub yo' man?" At the time it was no doubt intended as a humorous mockery of African-Americans; today it would certainly be viewed as a racist insult. It includes portrayals of the bride, groom, attendants, and the minister. Postmarked January 16, 1907.
