Description
Our magazine takes its name from a natural phenomenon unique to the state of Florida. Cypress Domes form in depressions where the water table is exposed. These formations of pond cypress and black gum trees usually take the shape of near-perfect circles, which are referred co as cypress domes because the trees tend to grow taller in the center. Its nutrient-rich environment is home to tree frogs, great-crested flycatchers, common and oak toads, and numerous other animals.
