A photocopy of the original annual catalog providing pertinent information at the time for students. It provides information on the faculty, the school and its academic programs, as well as rules and regulations regarding student life. The cover notes that Cookman Institute was ""Founded and Sustained by the Freedmen's Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church"". It has a handwritten note on the ""Faculty"" page about ""Mary Adeline Spencer, [who] resigned from the faculty May 1895 to get married in Hinsdale, N. H."" The catalog contains a student roster for all grades. At the end of the catalog are numerous advertisements for local businesses, such as Arthur Walls Smith, Physician and Surgeon; H. A. Henry, Magnolia Grocery; E. W. Jackson, the Efficient Photographer; Bridge Street Shoe Store, ""the Cheapest Shoes Store in the City""; Campbell Bros. and Co., retail dealers in Northern Meats; John H. Livingston, Surgeon and Physician; The H. & W. B. Drew Company, Book Dealers; Central City Drug Store; T. F. McNerny, Wholesale Dealer in Groceries and Provisions; and Clarke's Prescription Pharmacy. The back cover has a drawing of the Cookman Institute building in Jacksonville, Florida.
